This design was designed for a wine brand in Ningxia, China. Although Ningxia has a winemaking history of more than 1,000 years, the product packaging does not well reflect the local traditional red wine culture.The design emphasizes Ningxia’s history of red wine, and the designers were inspired by the joyful scenes of drinking and playing the pipa described in poems written by Tang Dynasty poet Wang Han in Ningxia.The bottle design not only incorporates the shape of the Ningxia pipa musical instrument, but also uses ceramic materials as a breakthrough material. Although the cost and process difficulty of ceramic materials are much higher than that of glass bottles,However, its good material density and texture are very consistent with the brand’s high-end positioning needs.Importantly, the design hopes that users can experience Ningxia’s traditional red wine culture through the product packaging experience.
