The collection explores cultural transformation through innovative materials and symbolic forms. Inspired by Mondrian's neo-plasticism and NYC's urban planning, the collection progresses from a structured geometric design, through an experimental piece inspired by Hermann Hesse's "Demian", to a final look projecting a personal poetry.
Each piece represents a stage of personal evolution: from the rigid structure of cultural adjustment (Look 1: Metropolitan Gridlock), through the breaking of societal constraints (Look 2: Breaking Point), to the ultimate embrace of authenticity (Look 3: Truth Untold).
The progression from rigid geometry to organic flowing cords to revealing transparency mirrors the journey from constraint to freedom. Through materials that evolve from structured felt and cotton to chaotic yarn weaved on electric cords to customized blind curtain with transparent PVC underlayer manifests stages of growth in New York City. The works collectively culminate a powerful statement about cultural identity and self-acceptance in New York City's diverse landscape.
