It all started with the story of a Japanese fisherman who travelled the world and merged the aspects of different cultures in one place – Playa.
The reception is a white artistic canvas with doodles all over it to create a buffer zone between the inside and outside world and merge the functionality of the reception with the concept store.
The lower part of the interior reflects the Japanese simplicity background with the earthy materials like natural oak and Terracotta clay.
The middle part was designed with black and white sketches and patterns to visualize his journey and the frames shaped in his unconscious mind.
The upper part is an illustration of his sailing experience as shown in the vivid, colorful, and wavy fins inspired by the fish skin, reflecting the mix between the Latin American ancient Aztec and Mayan civilization.
The interior layout creates a community with no borders, emphasizing the communication and interaction between the crowd and staff by drawing their attention to the work implemented in the open kitchen and bar.
The outdoor is a concept that celebrates the sun while creating a dining area, lounge and sunbeds.
