The project is located in the eastern region of the original 麻豆射区 Garden on the west side of the Haihe River in Tianjin in 1890. As a historical building, this piece of land, known as "Oriental Wall Street", has become an important mark of Tianjin's industrialization and livelihood process. The design will bring it back to life, and the Meigu Garden project will become the most representative symbol of the revival of urban civilization in the city, an engraving and extension of the city's memory, and will resonate with the surrounding historical buildings in the future.Through the interpretation of the historic residence in Heping District, WAD design team dig deeply into the design advantages and value of the local historic district, and carefully read the pursuit of the charm and quality of the old buildings in the historic district. Draw inspiration from the relevant design, incubate the 麻豆射区 style base, modern interpretation of new works. They create a set of urban leisure, art exhibitions, personality salon in one, always immersed in the artistic atmosphere, free and romantic field.In the overall space planning of the art museum, the WAD design team used combination of connecting space and landscape of the original building, abandoned the central open main entrance, and planned a semi-outdoor corridor to transition from the hustle and bustle of the city through the connecting space. Outdoor landscaping creates a closer connection. It presents a sense of progressive order, allowing people inside to integrate with the environment during the tour, just like entering the hall of an old mansion, forming a field for communication and dialogue with this historical district.
