This coffee cup marries traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics, committed to subverting the homogeneous design of traditional ceramics. It caters to modern aesthetic preference while retaining the classical charm of ceramics.
The design team, inspired by the blue and white porcelain (one of four famous porcelains of Jingdezhen), has made meticulous adjustments to the glaze formula (cobalt as the colorant) and finally created a highly recognizable 鈥渋deal blue鈥�. The color, combined with the full painting technique commonly used for the blue and white porcelain in the Yuan Dynasty, not only showcases the classical charm of blue and white porcelain, but also presents a stylish, modern visual effect. Moreover, the diameter difference between the top and the bottom is set to about 1 cm, resulting in a trapezoid-shaped body, stable and dignified; the straight lines harmonize with the curved ones, suggesting the concept of 鈥淐ouple Hardness With Softness鈥� advocated by the Chinese.
Compared with traditional ceramics featuring a glossy finish and a smooth texture, this product applies the brand鈥檚 self-developed 鈥渆ggshell glaze鈥� to its outer wall, which leads to a matte finish and a frosted texture like the eggshell surface. In this way, the cup not only exudes calmness and low-key elegance, but also is comfortable to grip and not easy to slip. Furthermore, the high-strength glaze will not peel off even if the cup is cleaned by machine or steel wool, while the transparent glass glaze used for the inner wall can minimize the residues, significantly improving the durability and hygiene of the product.
